Celebrate Australia's unique native eucalypts on March 23 every year.
This year we have a wonderful presentation by Andrew Skeoch, a Victorian naturalist and experts sound recordist of bush sounds.
Andrew is a published author and will have copies of his latest book for signing and purchase. Come along too enjoy the presentation and the sounds of the 'bush'. Of course our own surrounding ironbark forests and Mallee areas has its own unique wildlife sounds, bird species and a wide variety of habitats. Being the entry to Kooyoora State Park and its tracks also provides wonderful opportunities to get out "in the bush" and experience some time experiencing the peace and joy of nature, away from the humdrum of daily routines.
After the presentation, wander the museum and see our Mallee "blue eucy" oil distilling history and there will be time to ask some questions of Andrew.
With the "hot rods" group in town from Bendigo and the need for food options, Little Sangria will be in attendance with their wonderful pop up style Spanish food.
They will be on site so why not pop down for something entirely different, and wander the museum as well. There will be demonstrations of the traditional vat style demonstration in the museum model distillery as well as the "pot still" method used by one of our local boutique distillers of oils, Eucy Blue.
The museum opens at 10 am..
Preparations and negotiations are underway for a major participation in the Arts Trail this year during October 3-5 2025.
A major announcement soon!!
